Outdoor Gas Lighting| Classic vintage styling for your outdoor back yard lighting

 If you think outdoor gas lighting is no longer a viable option, then you’ll have to think again. Though most people are now looking forward to using solar powered and efficient led outdoor lights in their homes and properties, there are still places where style and tradition require the use of vintage and antique gas lighting methods… and fortunately, there are still craftsman making these amazing outdoor gas lighting devices today.

Though I wouldn’t recommend this type of lighting to any new project, sometimes there’s no way you can run away from it and really have to use outdoor gas lighting. Though it will be hard to beat the higher efficiency of more modern light sources, such as compact fluorescent lamps and the popular LED lamps, gas lamps are still used in historic places and antique homes where its original style is more important than energetic efficiency – though I believe it will only be a matter of time till they change it for more modern and efficient lighting.

Not surprisingly, "outdoor gas lighting" doesn’t come cheap. If you’re used to having free solar lamps lighting your house outdoors during the night, you’ll be shocked when you see your gas bill. Though outdoor gas lighting is well suited for portable and camping scenarios, I think you’d be better served with a more advanced light source when using it at home or on any other fixed place.
